Responsibility

Committed to making a positive impact

The natural beauty of our landscapes is what makes the UK such a special holiday destination; we’re always looking for ways to support our guests, owners and people to make positive contributions to the places in which we live, work and stay.

As a Certified B Corp, we are taking conscious steps to balance profit and purpose and to ensure our business is conducted in more sustainable ways. This manifests itself in ways such as procuring a fleet of electric cars for necessary journeys or making our offices energy efficient, but also, by supporting community organisations, charities and local businesses, we are showing that we want to be part of a global movement looking to change business for the better.

As standards rise for social and environmental performance in business, here at Travel chapter, we’re proud to be on a B Corp journey to help transform the economy to benefit people, communities, and the planet.

At a national level

We partner with organisations such as the Marine Conservation Society and the RSPB. These charities educate us on the impact we have on the planet. Together, we support their initiatives to preserve and restore nature and the landscapes and coastlines around us.

For our guests, we encourage them to take care of the places and communities in which they holiday. For our owners, we want to help raise awareness on how effective and realistic changes can be made to improve the sustainability of their holiday let. And finally, for our people, we want to continue to inspire our team to be involved in projects and initiatives that make a difference, no matter how small.

As a business, we know we have a responsibility to be more sustainable, both in the way we do business and in the way we help guests enjoy the beauty of the UK. As a team, we really care about doing the right thing and supporting causes close to our hearts, but we also know that there’s always more we can do to help preserve and protect the communities, culture and environment in an even more proactive way. We’re committed to continuing to try and do better wherever we can, focusing on reducing any negative social and environmental impact wherever possible.

At a local level

At a local level, we do what we can to ensure we promote nearby businesses, generate employment opportunities for local people and support community organisations. By doing the right thing, whenever we're able, we hope to give a little bit back to the places in which our guests love to holiday.
